§ 2-16-24. Designation of service areas.

The board shall, by resolution, designate one or more service areas for residential collection service and commercial collection service within the county. The board may revise or modify the boundaries of the service areas after notice has been given to the authorized collectors. However, in no event may the board reduce or eliminate an existing service area during the effective period of any franchise agreement without formal amendment of the franchise agreement. All portions of the unincorporated county shall be included within a service area(s). The director shall maintain a complete and full description of the designated service area(s).
