§ 2-16-25. Duties of authorized collector.

  • The authorized collector shall perform, at a minimum, the following:

    (1)

    Collect and remove all properly contained or bundled solid waste and recyclable materials generated by residential improved real property and commercial improved real property within the service area of the authorized collector.

    (2)

    Carry out and perform all applicable provisions of the franchise agreement.

    (3)

    The county shall have the right to conduct a financial audit performed by a certified public accountant in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles whenever determined necessary.

    (4)

    Provide the director, upon reasonable notice, full access to all records with respect to the franchise agreement.

    (5)

    Provide the director, on or prior to March 31 of each year, or other date specified in the franchise agreement, a financial audit performed by a certified public accountant, performed in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
