§ 2-19-71. Definitions.

For purposes of this article, the following definitions shall apply:

Nonconsensual towing means any "tow" performed without the prior consent or authorization of the owner or operator of a motor vehicle.

Store means to place or leave a vehicle at a location where a tow truck operator exercises control, supervision and responsibility over the vehicle.

Tow means to haul, draw, pull or carry a vehicle by means of another vehicle equipped with booms, car carriers, winches or similar equipment.

Tow truck operator means any person or business entity which provides the services of towing vehicles and any vehicle storage services associated therewith.
