§ 2-21-67. Administration and enforcement.

  • (a)

    The sheriff or designee shall be responsible for administration and enforcement of this article, and shall have the ability to bring any actions authorized by statute or ordinance, both criminal and civil, as the sheriff may deem appropriate to achieve enforcement.

    (b)

    The sheriff or designee has authority to compromise assessments of fees or fines issued pursuant to this article, as well as any judgments entered by any court concerning enforcement of this article.

    (c)

    The sheriff or designee may use any legal means to collect unpaid fees, fines, liens, or judgments resulting from enforcement of this article.
