§ 2-26-42. Cancellation of solicitations.

  • An invitation for bids, a request for proposals, or other solicitation may be canceled, or any or all bids, proposals or offers may be rejected in whole or in part, when it is for good cause and in the best interests of the county. The reasons therefor shall be made part of the county's files. Each solicitation issued by the county shall state that the solicitation may be canceled and that any bid, proposal, or offer may be rejected in whole or in part for good cause when in the best interest of the county. Notice of cancellation shall be published or posted in the same manner as notice of the solicitation. The notice shall identify the solicitation, explain the reason for cancellation and, where appropriate, explain that an opportunity will be given to compete on any resolicitation or any future procurements of similar items.
