§ 2-28-37. Registration.

  • (a)

    Any wireless provider or provider of communications services that places or seeks to place facilities in county roads or right-of-way is required to register with the right-of-way manager and to provide the following information:

    (1)

    The name of the registrant;

    (2)

    The name, address, and telephone number of a contact person for the registrant;

    (3)

    The number of the registrant's current certificate of authorization issued by the Florida Public Service Commission or the Federal Communications Commission; and

    (4)

    Proof of insurance or self-insuring status adequate to defend and cover claims.

    (b)

    Upon registering and providing the above information, a provider of communications services shall be deemed licensed pursuant to this article and Section 125.42, Florida Statutes. If the certificate of registration issued by the department of revenue to a provider of communications services that has registered with the county is revoked for any reason, the right-of-way manager shall be notified of same within thirty (30) days by the registered provider of communications services.
