§ 2-29-26. Trust fund established.

Pursuant to Section 125.0104(3)(h) of the Act, the Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court (hereinafter referred to as the "clerk") shall establish a Manatee County Tourist Development Trust Fund (hereinafter referred to as the "trust fund") to be administered by the clerk on behalf of the board of county commissioners.

(a)

The clerk shall establish such accounts and subaccounts within the trust fund as are required by the Act or this article, or as are otherwise deemed necessary and appropriate for the fiscal management of the trust fund.

(b)

The clerk shall invest any unencumbered and available moneys in the trust fund in interest-bearing accounts and securities in a manner consistent with other county investments.

(c)

All interest and investment income earned upon monies in the trust shall be credited to the trust fund, and interest and investment income earned upon specific accounts or subaccounts shall likewise be credited to such specific accounts or subaccounts.
