§ 2-2-1. Sheriff's discretionary surfees.

  • The county sheriff shall charge a surfee for the services listed in Florida Statutes Section 30.231(1)(a), (1)(b), (1)(c) and (1)(d), in addition to the amount permitted under Florida Statutes Section 30.231, according to the following schedule:

    (a)

    For all summons or writs except subpoenas and executions, twelve dollars ($12.00) for each person or respondent to be served.

    (b)

    For all writs except executions requiring a levy or seizure of property: Ten dollars ($10.00) in addition to the twelve dollar ($12.00) fee as stated in paragraph (a).

    (c)

    For witness subpoenas, seven dollars ($7.00) for each witness to be served.

    (d)

    For executions:

    (1)

    Ten dollars ($10.00) for docketing and indexing each writ of execution, regardless of the number of persons involved;

    (2)

    Ten dollars ($10.00) for each levy;

    (3)

    Three dollars ($3.00) for advertisement of sale under process;

    (4)

    Five dollars ($5.00) for sale under process; and

    (5)

    Five dollars ($5.00) for deed or bill of sale.

    All of the surfees authorized in this section shall be subject to the provisions of Florida Statutes Section 30.232.
