§ 2-2-63. Owner participation petition.

  • Whenever the owner or owners of at least two-thirds of the parcels of property shall present to the board a petition signed by them asking that their property be especially benefited by a project, the board shall consider said petition and if it is determined that the property will be especially benefited to the extent of any special improvement assessment liens, the board may accept the petition and direct that estimates be made by the county as to the feasibility of the project and the public benefit thereof, including a preliminary special improvement assessment roll showing the project as being one hundred (100) per cent financed by the property.
