§ 2-2-108. Applicable law and jurisdiction.
Hearing officers shall have jurisdiction to take evidence and render decisions for all administrative hearings authorized or required by any ordinance of the county, including without limitation those codified as part of the land development code, unless such ordinance specifically requires an alternative process. Administrative hearings prescribed by statute shall also be under the jurisdiction of hearing officers regulated by this section except as otherwise provided by state law. This ordinance shall not apply to administrative hearings conducted pursuant to the following statutes:
(1)
Chapter 194, Florida Statutes (value adjustment board hearings);
(2)
Chapter 162, Florida Statutes (code enforcement board hearings).
