§ 2-31-34. Abandonment of septic tanks.

Latest version.

Abandonment of on-site sewage disposal systems (septic tanks) shall be made sequentially as follows:
(1)

The tank shall be pumped out; and

(2)

The bottom of the tank shall be opened or ruptured so as to prevent the tank from retaining water; and

(3)

The tank shall be filled with clean sand or other suitable material.
