§ 2-32-1. Purpose and authority; title.

This chapter is established for the purpose of protecting the public health, safety and welfare, public and private property and the natural environment, through rules and regulations for operation of vessels on county waters, pursuant to the county's authority under Article VIII, Section 1.(f) of the Florida Constitution and Chapters 125 and 327, Florida Statutes. This chapter may be referred to as the "Manatee County Waterways Ordinance," and, for purposes of satisfying the requirements of Section 68D-23.109(4)(d) of the Florida Administrative Code, may be cited as Chapter 2-32, Manatee County Code of Laws.
