§ 2-32-6. Other prohibitions.
(a)
Sea grass protection.
(1)
No vessel shall be operated in county waters in a manner that results in damage to sea grass through shearing off of blades or excavation of roots. The vessel operator shall be cited for violation of this article if the sea grass is damaged.
(2)
The county recognizes that adverse weather, emergency conditions and factors beyond the control of the operator may result in damage to sea grass. Such inadvertent, unavoidable damage shall not constitute a violation of this article.
