Article I. IN GENERAL |
§ 2-6-4. Gas code adopted.
(a)
A gas code for Manatee County, Florida, is hereby adopted, consisting of the 1997 edition of the Standard Gas Code, and all appendices except Appendices "B", "C", and "D", copyrighted by the Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc., and those portions of the National Fuel Gas Code (NFPA 54), 1996 edition, and the Standard for the Storage and Handling of Liquefied Petroleum Gases (NFPA 58), 1995 edition, which are applicable to building construction, as amended in the manner provided in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein.
(b)
The terms, conditions, covenants and restrictions contained in the code, as referenced and supplemented herein, shall constitute the minimum standards set forth in this section; the same being applicable and supplemented herein, shall constitute the minimum standards set forth in this section; the same being applicable to the installation of consumers' gas systems from point of delivery to inlet connection, the installation and operation of gas appliances and the design, fabrication, installation, testing and operation of systems for fuel gases within the unincorporated areas of Manatee County.
(c)
A copy of the aforesaid Code with amendments and supplements thereto shall be kept with the clerk of the circuit court for Manatee County, Florida.
