§ 2-6-30. Emergency housing assistance program.

The expenditure of county funds to provide relocation assistance, including but not limited to rent subsidies, utility and security deposit assistance, moving expenses, and other reasonable and necessary costs to low-income households who must vacate unsafe dwelling accommodations pursuant to an order of the Manatee County Building Official is hereby authorized. Assistance shall be based on policies and guidelines from time to time adopted by the board of county commissioners and shall be limited to the extent of money budgeted and appropriated for such use.
