§ 2-6-39. Notice.

  • Any person who is the subject of proceedings before the board shall be provided with timely notice of such proceedings in the following manner:

    (1)

    All notices shall be provided to the alleged violator by certified mail, return receipt requested, or by hand delivery by an officer of the Manatee County Sheriff's Department, or other law enforcement officer, investigator, or any other person designated by the board, or by leaving the notice at the violator's usual place of residence with some person of his family above fifteen (15) years of age, and informing such person of the contents of the notice.

    (2)

    In addition to providing notice as described above, at the option of the department, notice also may be affected by publication or posting. Such notice must be published once a week for four (4) consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation. Notice by publication or posting may run concurrently with, or may follow, an attempt or attempts to provide notice by hand delivery or by mail, as required under subsection (1) of this section.
