§ 2-7-40. Authority.

  • (a)

    This article has been enacted pursuant to the home rule powers of the county and authority of Chapter 162, Florida Statutes, as a supplemental method of enforcing certain sections of the county codes and ordinances.

    (b)

    Nothing in this article shall be construed to prohibit the county from enforcing its codes and ordinances by any other means including, but not limited to, a summons, a notice to appear in the county or circuit court, an arrest, an action before a special magistrate, a civil action for injunctive relief, a stop work order, a demolition order, or any other method of enforcement.
