Objective 11.1.3. - Implementation Framework.
Provide an effective framework for Comprehensive Plan implementation which identifies the inter- and intra- governmental impacts and responsibilities of planning policies to ensure Comprehensive Plan compliance.
Policy 11.1.3.1. Identify and carry out the primary and secondary coordination responsibilities associated with policy implementation. Coordination responsibilities identified pursuant to this policy shall be provided by way of representative examples of "implementation mechanisms" for policies in the Comprehensive Plan. These implementation mechanisms shall not be considered as binding or all-inclusive, and shall be adjusted as necessary without a required plan amendment pursuant to § 163.3187, F.S.
Implementation Mechanism(s):
(a)
Identify and continually update intra- and inter-governmental coordination activities for each governmental entity responsible for implementation of this Comprehensive Plan.
(b)
Planning Department maintenance of the Policy Implementation and Coordination Summary (PICS) document.
Policy 11.1.3.2. Identify Manatee County's responsibilities for coordinating with other local, regional, state, and federal governments, School Board and special districts to implement this Comprehensive Plan. Review these efforts for effectiveness through Comprehensive Plan monitoring.
Implementation Mechanism:
(a)
Update of the Policy Implementation and Coordination Summary (PICS) as necessary by the Planning Department.
Policy 11.1.3.3. Manatee County shall continue coordination efforts with the Economic Development Council to increase the economic vitality of the County.
