Objective 11.1.7. - Level of Service Coordination.

  • Adopt and maintain level of service standards for public facilities that are compatible across jurisdictional lines, and which are coordinated with the affected jurisdiction.

    Policy 11.1.7.1. Coordinate with adjacent local governments to achieve consistency in the adopted level of service standards for roadways, and other public facilities that cross jurisdictions.

    Policy 11.1.7.2. Adopt level of service standards on state roads within Manatee County that are consistent with the requirements of FDOT, and are consistent with the schedule of planned improvements to these roadways adopted by FDOT, to the maximum extent feasible. State roadways not listed on the Florida Intrastate Highway System shall have level of service standards consistent with County level of service standards within the same area, where appropriate.

    Policy 11.1.7.3. Coordinate with local governments adjacent to roadways for which Manatee County has operational responsibility to ensure that level of service standards adopted by these local governments for these County operated/maintained roadways are consistent with planned improvements for those roadways.

    Policy 11.1.7.4. Maintain cooperation with the School Board in its efforts to provide the revenues and sites necessary to accommodate the county's educational infrastructure needs.

    Policy 11.1.7.5. Encourage the establishment of impact fees on a county-wide basis as appropriate.
