§ 4.2.2. Public Access

Port Manatee's diverse maritime activities render the Port inappropriate for open public access. Furthermore, in this era of heightened security, where the entire Port has been designated as a restricted area, open public access cannot be allowed. The one exception to this prohibition is the guided tours that the Port conducts periodically to familiarize the public with this county resource. The public is, of course, invited to noticed meetings and controlled access is allowed for this purpose.
