§ 2-21-125. Impoundment and safeguarding of personal property.

Law enforcement officers will follow established procedures to impound and safeguard personal property of individuals arrested for violation of this article; law enforcement officers or Manatee County employees will take personal property which has been stored or left unattended at public buildings into custody and follow the abandoned property procedures set forth in Chapter 705, Florida Statutes. Manatee County shall not be liable for any personal property which was stored or left unattended on public property and which is lost, stolen, or taken into custody under this article.
