Chapter 2-23. MUNICIPAL SERVICE TAXING DISTRICTS OR UNITS |
Article III. MUNICIPAL SERVICE TAXING DISTRICTS |
§ 2-23-43. Services which districts may request county to furnish.
The municipal council of any municipality which is within the boundaries of a municipal service taxing district may request the county to provide or furnish within said district any one or more of the following:
(1)
Fire protection;
(2)
Law enforcement;
(3)
Beach erosion control;
(4)
Recreation service and facilities;
(5)
Water;
(6)
Streets;
(7)
Sidewalks;
(8)
Street lighting;
(9)
Garbage and trash collection and disposal;
(10)
Waste and sewage collection and disposal;
(11)
Drainage;
(12)
Transportation; and
(13)
Other essential facilities and municipal services
to be paid for by funds derived from service charges, special assessments or ad valorem taxes obtained by the county within the district.
