§ 2-23-42. Governing body.

  • There shall be a governing body for each of the municipal service taxing districts created by the provisions of this article. Each such governing body shall consist of three (3) members of the board of county commissioners, one of whom shall be designated as the chairman of the governing body, selected from time to time by the chairman of the board of county commissioners, and two (2) members of the municipal council of the municipality which such district comprises, selected from time to time by the mayor or municipal council thereof. A quorum of a governing body shall consist of the presence at any meeting thereof of at least two (2) members of the board of county commissioners and one member of said municipal council. The clerk of the circuit court shall serve as the ex officio clerk or secretary to each governing body.
