§ 2-25-2. Adoption of comprehensive plan.

  • (a)

    Purpose; intent. This section is enacted to carry out the purpose and intent of and exercise the authority set out in the Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulation Act, Sections 163.3161 through 163.3215, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 125, Florida Statutes, as amended.

    (b)

    Title. The amended version of the comprehensive plan for the county shall be entitled "The Manatee County Comprehensive Plan."

    (c)

    Adoption. The Manatee County Comprehensive Plan consisting of one volume is hereby adopted as the comprehensive plan for the county and is incorporated herein [in Ordinance No. 89-01] by reference in its entirety as if fully set forth in all its chapters, sections, subsections, paragraphs, and terms within this ordinance [Ordinance No. 89-01].

    (d)

    Applicability; effect. The applicability and effect of the county comprehensive plan shall be as provided by the Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulation Act, Sections 163.3161 through 163.3215, Florida Statutes, and this ordinance [Ordinance No. 89-01].

No. 89-01 amended in its entirety the former comprehensive plan adopted by Ord. No. 80-4, enacted Nov. 14, 1980. The comprehensive plan has not been included herein, but is kept on file at the offices of the city.
