Maintain the following sanitary sewer Level of Service Standards to minimize urban
sprawl, maximize the use of existing facilities, plan capital improvements, and to
review development applications.
Policy 9.1.1.1.
Require that Manatee County maintain an infrastructure standard providing one hundred
fifteen (115) gallons of wastewater treatment and disposal per day (average daily
flow) per capita for the Southwest Wastewater Treatment Plant, eighty-five (85) gallons
of wastewater treatment and disposal per day (average daily flow) per capita for the
Southeast Wasterwater Treatment Plant and eighty (80) gallons of wastewater treatment
and disposal per day (average daily flow) per capita for the North Wastewater Treatment
Plant.
Policy 9.1.1.2.
Provide advanced secondary treatment of wastewater (i.e., chlorination and virus filtration),
or provide for a higher treatment level where required, at all regional sewage treatment
plants operated by Manatee County.
