Maintain and implement land development regulations that protect the area's natural and economic resources. (See also Policy 2.11.2.3).

Policy 5.7.2.1. Implement land use regulations that are protective of and responsive to intermodal transportation/terminal needs, that protect the Port's access to regional transportation systems, and maintain the free flow of commodities to and from the Port.

Policy 5.7.2.2. Maintain and implement land use regulations that allow appropriate use of areas for manufacturing, processing and assembly activities customarily associated with ports and Foreign Trade Zones.

Policy 5.7.2.3. Develop, adopt and maintain development, architectural and landscaping guidelines/standards that provide consistency, security and safety in new development and redevelopment at the Port.
